Mr Snoops is a brown velvet rescue who has some fairly severe disabilities. He has no digits and only one front leg (possibly due to traumatic injury at birth) and raggedy ears. When he arrived at the Manor, Mr Snoops had almost no fur - he had chewed it all off, down to skin. Now he is a handsome chap, with all his fur nicely grown back - he does, however, go through periods where he will have a nibble on his beautiful fur for no apparent reason.

Despite his difficulties, Mr Snoops stops at nothing and leads a very happy life in his specially adapted cage. He has extra shelving and ledges so that he does not have to walk on the floor of his cage. His toys are all fixed to the cage so that he does not have to try to hold them.

Treats are no problem to Mr Snoops - he has adapted very well to his lack of digits and, despite being unable to grasp anything, he will put his "palm" on a treat, tilt it up towards him, and proceed to devour it with great speed. Exercise is no problem to Snoops either - he whizzes about the Manor with no apparent difficulty and bounces off the walls just like any other lively chinchilla.

Mr Snoops' favourite hidey-hole and sleeping compartment is his tube - he is usually found with just the tip of his nose poking out of the end. He also loves to be tickled under the chin and he will almost fall over in ecstacy if one gets just the right spot.
