Chester
Chester is a bit of a hooligan. He is a dark charcoal chinchilla with bucket loads of character. Unfortunately for Chester, his habit of bouncing and whizzing around like a little furry whirlwind, causes him problems. He has a tendency to crash into anything in his path and he has been known to wear himself out - so much so that I have to restrict his exercise on some occasions when he gets carried away with his cleverness.
The Banana Chip!
Chester loves dried banana chips (without honey). He won't let them go for lanything! Most chinchillas can be brided for a photo session with a treat - in this instance it was a banana chip and the idea was that the chinchillas ate the banana chip whilst being held, and I would get some good photos for posterity. Well, Chester was not having any of that! He smiled round his banana chip but refused to eat it, drop it, or hold it in his paw. Between fits of laughter I took the following pictures of my little chap.
Once he was safely back in his cage, Chester devoured his well-earned treat.
Ecstacy!
Chester also loves to be tickled - he becomes so overcome with ecstacy that he has been known to fall over!
"Left a bit....... right a bit.......... uhhhh......... just there!!"
Memorial
I am very sad to have to write this memorial for my banana chip-loving little chap. Unfortunately, at the age of just over 3, Chester has left Monty's Manor for the last time. I will miss him greatly. Chester : 09/05/02 - 26/07/05. © Website designed & created by Stephen Brewster.
